Behind the collection

Every collection begins with a sketch on paper. Not a computer design, but a pencil: the line of the shoulder, the fall of the sleeve, the place where the sfifa cuts across the silhouette.

Then comes the fabric. Silk falls differently from brocade, brocade carries more weight than chiffon. That choice determines whether a piece moves or stands stately.

Only when pattern and fabric agree does the embroidery begin. That is the longest part: weeks, sometimes months. What you eventually wear is the result of dozens of decisions you never see.
